None of that happens because families do not care. It happens because a phone is built to be replaced and a group chat is built to scroll away.
A private website for one family, on an address that family owns. Only the people invited can see it. It holds the family tree, the photographs, the videos and the stories, and the private records the next generation will need: where the will is kept, and what runs in the family.
Every photograph is copied to separate storage every night, so a mistake can be undone rather than mourned.
