Photographs vanish when a phone is stolen or a laptop dies. They get buried under new messages in a family group within days. And the stories, the part nobody thinks to write down, leave with the elders who carried them.
None of that happens because families do not care. It happens because a phone is built to be replaced and a group chat is built to scroll away.
A private website for one family, on an address that family owns. Only the people invited can see it. There is no feed, no algorithm deciding which memory deserves attention, and nothing is advertised or sold.
Every photograph is copied to separate storage every night, so a mistake can be undone rather than mourned.
Families pay us once a year. That is the whole arrangement, and it is the reason we can afford to leave your photographs alone. We are not selling your attention to anybody, because nobody is paying us for it.
