The short version: your album is private, and we do not sell anything about you.
The short version: your album is private, and we do not sell anything about you.
The email addresses of the people invited to an album, the photographs and writing you upload, and the payment reference our payment provider gives us. We never see or store your card or M-Pesa details.
Only the people invited to it. Every request is checked against that list. Albums are never public, never indexed by search engines, and never shared between families.
Some families arrive through a link or a code from somebody who recommends Album, and that person is paid a share of what you pay. If that is how you found us, they can see your family name, the email address and phone number you gave when you signed up, your plan, what you paid and when it renews, so that they can help you and check their own figures. They cannot open your album, see your photographs, or see anybody you have invited.
On this public website we count page views to understand what people read. Visitors are counted using a one-way code made from the address and browser, which changes every day and cannot be traced back to a person. We do not store IP addresses. Family albums themselves are never tracked.
Photographs are copied nightly to separate storage so an accident can be undone. A photograph you delete is removed from the backup within 90 days.
Ask us and we will delete your album and everything in it. Email hello@album.ke from the address you signed up with.
